Rute Martins Caeiro
About me
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where I am further affiliated with the NOVAFRICA. During the spring term of 2019, I was a Visiting Student Researcher at Stanford University.
My research focuses on development economics, with special emphasis on agricultural economics and social networks. The core of my work uses field experiments that I have designed and implemented to study a range of economic issues, including the adoption of agricultural technologies, the role of peer effects in technology diffusion, and how social capital is shaped by policy interventions.
I will be on the economics job market in 2019/20 and available for interviews at the EEA Meetings in Rotterdam and the ASSA Meetings in San Diego.
